“I used to really enjoy when it was her turn” - Sen. Maizie Hirono
I’ve watched lots of congressional hearings on C-span, which is where I first observed Kamala Harris as a Senator. I also enjoyed her tough questioning of attorney general and Supreme Court nominees, a sharp contrast to the bloviating performances of most other Congress members who used their time to puff and preen.
The Washington Post has a piece today about the vice-president’s record while she in the Senate and quotes a couple of Republican colleagues describing her as a “short-timer” and only being there for a future presidential run. I’m sure they were equally concerned with Trump and Vance’s legislative records and length of time in the Senate.
