Morning Joe hosts visit Mar-a-Lago

I’ve mentioned numerous times during presentations and panel discussions how the MSM didn’t take Trump seriously during the 2016 election and treated him as entertainment. One of those talking heads shows which giggled through interviews was Morning Joe with hosts Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski. Eventually they changed their tune about Trump but they were so late to the game that it was laughable.

So it looks now that they’ve flipped again with a visit to Mar-a-Lago and been roundly criticized by both the left and right, to which Scarborough protested that it showed a disconnect “between social media and the real world”.

(I’ve had my own experience with the Morning Joe gang when they went after me because of a cartoon I did criticizing Sen. Ted Cruz, which they neither understood or did their homework when reporting on the controversy).

*A footnote to my original post: I hadn’t watched the link to Morning Joe I included above (since it aired first live in 2015). Not only did they use an edited version of the Cruz Christmas video, they failed to air the part where Cruz’s elder daughter actually read from the political script, a clear difference from how other politicians included their children in ads. My cartoon was simply criticizing Senator Cruz for manipulating his children for political gain. It just further shows Morning Joe’s lack of journalistic integrity and knowledge about visual metaphors and how editorial cartoons work. Scarborough goes on to pontificate “I would look at the person who did this cartoon and say you can’t have one standard…”

I might suggest Joe and Mika take look in the mirror.
