The murder of the United Healthcare CEO is setting off a larger discussion about this country’s healthcare system (or more accurately, this country’s healthcare insurance system) and threats have been aimed at other companies’ executives. But the underlying reason for the healthcare system being at the mercy of insurance companies is the fact that they are big campaign contributors and aren’t spending those lobbying dollars to end their moola-making industry.
