Trump couldn't wait another minute to blame President Obama after the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool water turned green, despite the $14 million renovation. (By now, we know everything is either Obama's or Biden's fault.)

Somehow, the green algae seems a fitting, putrid reflection of this administration.

I wish Everyone would get a grip: it’s a shallow pool full of water, in the summer sun.

I use algae eaters to keep my aquariums clean. Easy fix?

Jim Mole's avatar

But you don't need to help along it by painting the pool a dark color. Trump now has his own personal swamp. Too bad that nobody besides him wanted that.

I wash my bird baths with Dawn soap.

Surely someone knew this would happen.

Jim Leach's avatar

perhaps one of those who would have BID on the project...

Dianna Jackson's avatar

He did not put this out to bid is my recollection

You're right, I'm sure... but then again, reliable news sources (there are thankfully still a few left) report more than one individual in the administration knew the Iran "excursion" was likely to go sideways, but He Who Is Guided By His Gut and (Giggle) Own Morality ignored them.

P.S. Somebody should wash Trump's mouth with Lye.

I think maybe y'misspelled lie? (Snerkkk) 😁

Those who knew took their millions and left DC after sunset.

With all the money and assets these autocrats have amassed, that is hardly an issue - unless it is. That thing is pretty big...

Actually, I am surprised he hasn't put sharks in it. Nahhhh...

Mary Roeser's avatar

Nope he wouldn't do that. Batteries--that would be the thing. Or maybe batteries shaped like sharks.

Dianna Jackson's avatar

I’m not fine with the cost. Another grift and here we are. You sound a bit like trump thinking that things are easy.

Mark Asquino's avatar

We will need to pay another $14 million fort that fix. Nothing is easy or cheap with this crew.

Rachel Simon's avatar

how much did you pay for your aquariums? did you use our tax dollars to buy a gold plated aqurium?

Kathleen Pirquet's avatar

Yeah, but your education stuck and fluorished. Trumps? Not so much...

Maybe RFK jr can find a whale carcass to add to it’s ambiance!

Already filled with green algae. As rancid as his Iran "peace deal," emerging after an illegal, costly, murderous, destructive war, and everything associated with him.

Every Republican Trump touches turns into a jellyfish.

They made their choice- based on their own greed, cowardice, and racism. Trump reflects who they are.

Beautiful Ann. The story of a failed administration in one picture. Thank-you

He’s right at home in the muck and the mire.

The reflecting pool is green to reflect the Orange Buffoons envy of President Barack Obama's Peace Prize!

Jim Mole's avatar

But wait! Trump has the peace prize he bought.

Larry Arnold's avatar

Yes, but even the Orange Buffoon knows it is worthless!

Susan Keefer's avatar

The amount of hydrogen peroxide that Trump is dumping into the Reflecting Pool will burn and probably kill the ducks! He doesn’t give a shit. 🦆😭

Phil Johnson's avatar

Is that an effective algae-killer? I didn't know that.

Charles G Haacker's avatar

Maybe the effective algae killer would be the ducks. Algae is a highly significant food source for many waterbirds. While only a few species—like flamingos and certain ducks—rely on it directly as a dietary staple, it forms the fundamental base of the food chain that sustains most aquatic and marine birds. —Western Oregon University

Is it possible to nod off at the bottom of a pool?

What if he forgot to wake himself up? That would solve a bunch of problems, eh. Trump snoozing at the bottom of Hormuz Straits. for example. Course, one might argue he’s always asleep at the wheel of the Ship of State and already sunk it and his place in history.

Now, that’s funny!Love it!😂😂

I especially like the tiny fins.

Chas Cotter's avatar

So ironic. So fitting. He came to "drain the swamp". Now he IS the swamp.

Greg Zimet's avatar

The green algae is a perfect reflection of his gross persona.

Kathleen Pirquet's avatar

That is insulting to green algae, which are vital to the food web. It's all connected...except for Donald Trump and his thugs. They just don't get it. About anything.

It now reflects the reflects the illnesses we are enduring during this horror show of a regime. Very slimy, to say the least. I feel bad for the ducks and other innocent creatures who live on or near it.

Perfect depiction of everything he touches turns stinky and vile, especially the GOP.

It does seem that when Trump has a choice between going high versus going low, he most often chooses low!
