Seriously, I have no interest in reading about any supposed coverup of Biden’s health while President. It is meaningless compared to Ann’s question. The real mystery and tragedy for this country is the election of Pig as our President.

We have to find another word. Pigs - like other animals - are intelligent, decent, honorable creatures. You cannot use any of those words to describe the senile old traitor occupying the White House.

This was a reference to George Orwell’s Animal Farm. You should (re)read it.

Actually pigs will devour anything put in front of them including humans occasionally, so the metaphor is fairly sound.

I am very disappointed with Jake Tapper, who apparently believes that overlooking the big story, (which is quite obviously Trump’s ongoing authoritarian coup) as he tries to appear what is referred to as “fair and balanced” is good journalism. It is not. Biden was an excellent president and not a very good candidate. That’s a trade off I’d take any day. Trump is a lying dictator wannabe who’s engaging in a traitorous coup. Tapper seems by implication to be equating the two.

That book would require journalistic and investigative skills, Ann. So would a book on the ongoing cover ups of Trump’s mental and physical deterioration. Tapper and Thompson just wanna make a quick buck.

@ Amy

There are no coverups of Trump's mental and physical deterioration, and more than his corruption, flouting of the law, grifting, and general incompetence. It's all out in the open, and they don't even try to hide it. They simply ignore it, and act surprised when someone mentions it. The GOP tries to downplay it by saying "It's just Trump being Trump." Can they not see that Trump being the mentally unstable, immoral, ignorant, incompetent, et cetera ad nauseam (expletive deleted) that he always has been IS the problem?

I would like to read that book too if someone would write it. I am still baffled on how such a flawed , rude and corrupt candidate could win, against such an accomplished VP Kamala, after voters had seen him in action or the lack of it in his first term. He inherited a good economy from Obama. Yet, the USA had the worst economy among developed countries when he left office in January of 2021 because of his mishandling of the COVID crisis.

Four years later, Biden left with the USA having the best economy among developed countries. In four months, he has managed to shrink the economy with his flip flop on tariffs. He poses a threat to also the global economy and our allies while enriching himself and his family. Hope non MAGA voters who voted for him are having buyers’ remorse.

There were a number of books published during and after trump's first term, and many of them sold well and got medua coverage and reporting awards. Problem is, nobody took trump seriously - he was a unicorn, a disgrace but would be gone before he could do real damage. Failure of imagination!

Have you read Dr Brandy Lee's seminal work on drumpf ? " The Dangerous Case of Donald Trump" ? Leaves you with a greater understanding of what we are dealing with...and insights for the future to look for. She has a second book out now...but recommend reading this initial one first...just my opinion, mind you.

I have copies of "A Very Stable Genius" and "I Alone Can Fix It." I'm generally pretty skeptical about political "histories" written by opponents of the subject of the history. However, even exercising more than my usual skepticism, I found more than enough in these books to lower my already low opinion of Donald J. Trump.

Since then, I've had to invent new descriptive phrases for him. Example: He has to look up -- WAY, WAAY up -- to see a snake's butt in a swamp.

Biden at this point MUST be moved to a distant back burner. His health and whether or not there was a "cover-up" are no longer issues. Sorry, Tapper and Thompson -- bad timing, bad luck.
