That's a tough call.

No need to pick one.

The real harm is in the cumulative effect. And that includes the entire Republican party and right wing apparatus - which has been at it for decades. Extremists did not swallow the elephant whole - they ate it bite by bite before $#!++!"@ it out in their own image, a Trump administration. And they did it through showing up reliably as Republican voters. By voting as a strategic joint exercise in taking power. With help from their friends.

From Charles Koch and Leonard Leo to Peter Thiel and Elon Musk. From William F. Buckley and George Will to Rush Limbaugh and Alex Jones. Trump is Reagan writ large and writ vulgar. Same antidemocratic agenda, different style. The spawn of Movement Conservatives in bed with the Religious Right.

The Putin/Orbán style “long plan” of the Heritage Foundation began in the 70’s. Evidence of the through-line can be seen in the blueprint/partnership (puppet strings) for & with Reagan. How about the name? “Mandate for Leadership” … 🙄

I have participated in the staging of ‘A Christmas Carol’ many times, and even at its most voluminous, our cast did not hold a proverbial Bob Cratchit candle to the number of infamous, incompetent ne’er-do-wells placed in positions of responsibility by this ‘administration.’

Even Dickens’ portrayal of Charnel house evil can't compare with the Trumpublican Senators who have bent the knee, spread the cheeks, or unzipped dear leader’s trousers in a rush to confirm every goddamn ineffectual one of them!

Miller for some reason would look smashing in an SS uniform, swastika armband, officer’s cap with the silver skull, knee high black leather boots. It’s those dead eyes and perpetual sneer on his face that screams Nazi. The psychopathy completes the effect.

Karmic irony?

Hitler's antisemitic deportation chief Adolf Eichmann back as Trump's Jewish deportation chief Stephen Miller.

At Nuremberg, jurists were charged with draining German law of justice to serve the murderous abuses of the Nazi regime.

Of course, for years, the Federalist Society Supreme Court majority has been turning the Constitution on its head to drain American law of justice - of equality before the law and equal representation. And now, with the devolution of the Republican party, our democratic republic depends on jurists who would just as soon repurpose it as a ChristoFascist state, just not in such an unseemly and blatantly unconstitutional manner.

Steven Miller is unusual in that when he is being affable and cordial he’s even more repulsive. Perhaps that’s because it’s not his essence, which seems to be hate. A child-snatching, dictator-loving, power hungry liar. Pretty awful. A man to be watched; doing good is not what he’s about.

Of all of the hangers-on around Chump the grifter king, Miller may be the most odious based on a number of “qualities” including cruelty, hate, myopia, and sheer stupidity. Miller wants to hope his boss stays on forever because he is virtually un-hireable via anybody sane. The consummate, asshole!!

Vile. The nation has been invaded by body snatchers, the living dead. If you just look at his eyes you see the same hate, cruelty, and love of death that has characterized all the world's villains. 80 +years ago that was the nazi menace. Now it is putin, erdogan, orban, fico, etc. I heard a stat the other day from a psychologist that 1 in 149 people labor under severe pyschopathology. That is a lot of people. No wonder there is so much deliberate cruelty and criminality in the world and why it is so important to call it out and oppose it. These people are "abby normal" to quote Igor (eyegore) from Young Frankenstein.
