It is so wonderful to see you out in the world sharing your brilliance! A scary thing, it must have been, to leave the Post. But what a brave and ultimately wonderful decision you made. We need you out here in the world, documenting things, where stuff is getting way too "interesting." (Horrifying.)
Well said Dawn! Ann you are truly an icon now for Freedom of the Press, the Real Deal- I love how you and others like Jim Acosta who left CNN have a space like this to share your important work and make a living! Thank you
'Tis my opinion that your post-Pulitzer Norwegian Media interview should be required viewing. Perhaps a heavy lift, but as one who "reads" editorial cartoons, I enjoy the depth of messaging possible with ink lines
and a blush of color. Nast, when I discovered him. Pat Oliphant and Herb Block spoke volumes succinctly. And so too, do you. How much fun, I wonder, would you have doing a gif of donny? Be well, Ann. Your work matters. Ink on.
Dear Ann, Far be it from me to think I’m in a position to “be PROUD of you” but when I see you and your brilliant work I really am proud. I’m almost 80 and you’re helping me get past the “Orange Menace” and see our America actually return. Thanks!
This is a great interview to learn of Ann's background and her way of thinking, all the way from Ann;'s awakening at the infamous treatment of Anita Hill by Biden and associates through the infamous censure by billionaire media owner Bezos and the subsequent win of her second Pulitzer Prize.
I like to think this last episode will turn out to be a blessing in disguise for Ann.
Thank you for your work. Satirizing oligarchs is a good strategy. On another note, I cancelled my WAPO subscription, assured it would end shortly regardless, because I knew my auto renewal credit card had expired, but somehow I still have access--they must be desperate to keep up their circulation numbers!
These 2 videos--the speech and the interview--were just fascinating; the first, extremely well written and, equally, well delivered; the second, illuminating and eye opening, as you so deftly fielded a variety of questions, spoke so earnestly off the cuff, and gave us an "open window" into the world of editorial cartooning you so passionately inhabit!
So thrilled you were able to share these with us! Thank you!

Hopefully, Ann, the 50 pounds of Swiss chocolate you’re bringing back home is duty-free!

A pleasure!
Great interview and information for us newbies. Glad to hear your online is doing well.
Let me guess: it was raining in Bergen? (Visited and loved in 2013…but there is no shortage of precipitation there.)
I actually had beautiful, sunny weather in Bergen, Geneva, Morges, and Lucerne- was very lucky in my timing.
Somebody up there clearly approves of you!
