Is your NPR or PBS station on the chopping block by Trump's illegal scheme to silence Free Speech? Check this map.

Great map. I’m surprised how many red states will be affected. I would guess that in some communities, Sesame Street is the only substantive quality education littles under 5 get. I certainly hope the people who voted for Herr Trump start paying attention.

Killing funding for PBS and NPR, sadly, goes hand in hand with major cuts to school meals, SNAP, PEPFAR, Meals on Wheels, etc.--all cruel and reprehensible.

Nothing more sickening than having to view The Apprentice Marathon, ad nauseam!

When Trump calls for defunding PBS he betrays his ignorance of history as well as his political naivety. Ann, to this Canadian viewer at least, PBS was created to unite far-flung communities across the U.S., overcoming the regionalism of American culture and politics. It does this by being America’s public square – continuously showing Americans who they are, where they come from, and telling each other their stories. It is America’s gift to itself. My hope is that it will be here, doing its singular work, after the likes of Trump are long gone.

A shotgun.

Control the TV and radio stations. Control the newspapers. Control the Voice of America. Control what's in libraries. Control schools. And what do you have? Control of the country.
