This priceless. Ann, you are amazing! The people of Wisconsin couldn’t be bought. Good for them. Thanks to all the voters who said enough is enough! Musk’s toxicity has no place in our democracy. He is a disgrace!

He treats everyone the same. As peasants, serfs and his slaves the same as the rest of the American and Russian Oligarchy.

Understanding what "cheesehead" means to Wisconsinites, I wonder if Musk realizes what a doofus he looks like to the rest of the country? (And of course the rats.) That said, many many thanks for the integrity Wisconsin voters showed us all ... a lesson sadly lost on many in my own state of Texas.

OMG, A! I needed a laugh so badly this morning with the results in flatulent Florida!

I was disappointed, as well, in the results from Florida. DeSantis is touting the idea of no property tax for our homeowners here. Me thinks this is a set-up for his wife to be our next governor. It's stinky here in paradise and in politics!

My grandparents lived in the Sunshine State when I was a kid. There is so much beauty and biological diversity in the plants and animals there — except for the humans in charge

The planet’s temperature is rising causing our coastlines to alter and creating ferocious storms. I was hoping with this election you guys would stop sticking your heads collectively in the sand.

The felon in the White House is one thing this is a clear sign Floridians think they are still living the dream. I wish you all well

It's so frustrating... I can't even begin to tell you. As Head Cheese is delivering his speech on tariffs, I had to turn it off. I can't listen to his voice without screaming obscenities. My neighbors are mostly Trumpty Dumpsters. I don't even go to our social hours because I can't be silent. What happened to our country?!? Will we survive this? Will we ever be able to heal?!?

Have faith, Linnie. I know the media is full of gloom and doom. They think that is a way to motivate change. They don’t want us to be complacent.

Most Americans are good people. I am reminded lately of two things: a great old play by Moss Hart & George S Kaufman “you can’t take it with you” ( obviously these 2 were speaking about $) and this passage

“They sow the wind, and they shall reap the whirlwind" Hosea 8:7, and it means that actions, especially foolish or harmful ones, will lead to serious consequences. It serves as a warning about the repercussions of one's choices

I believe we are all living in the whirlwind, some of us are more awake than others.

You are not alone, Linnie. Look for your peeps. They are there you just might have to travel farther to find them these days.

Be well

You are very kind to reply to my foreboding. And I thank you. Prophet Hosea was a wise man. Every morning my meditation is filled with gratitude and hope...and a prayer that we will all come out of this unscathed...or at least we will all be okay.

Thank you again for reaching out. Now I think I will check the news to see if 45-47 has stopped spewing hatred and lies.

Linnie

Even on a darkest days your cartoons usually make me laugh so hard, I get the hiccups. Thank you, Ann. And thank you, Senator Booker and Justice Crawford for making this a sunny day for Democrats everywhere.

And for democrats everywhere, Arkansas Blue. Not all of us endorse the "Party."

David, you are absolutely correct, of course. At the moment I am so fixated on the mostly non-action of the Democratic party leaders until yesterday's great action by Sen. Booker (who is not even a leader, why not?) and the great victory by Susan Crawford, I totally forgot about all the democrats who are non-party members.

I try to frame it in a way that we can defeat the usurpers (the oligarchs) by collective resistance. This coalition will succeed only by the will of ALL of the rest of us, including D, R, Green, Independent, and Other.

Another triumph, Ms. Telnaes!!

Word is that the Convicted Felon is about to kick Muskrat to the curb. I said at the outset that bromance wouldn't last. Two massive egos in love with each other?? Not a recipe for a math made in heaven, that's for sure. Somebody (not the Felon. He has no ability to self-reflect) has finally awakened to the fact that Doggie-Do and its bull-in-a-china shop approach to decreasing the size of government is colossally bad idea.

Wisconsin voters understand that Musk is head cheese, not a Cheese Head.

(Head cheese is a dish made from the meat and gelatinous parts of a pig or calf's head.)
