Thanks for sharing! I am a theologian and am fascinated by the painting of Death playing (in harmony, or in counterpoint?) to the music of life. Something to puzzle as I engage in the much more mundane chore of cleaning neglected grout. Safe travels.
Lovely pictures. Thank you for sharing this part of your trip. Everything looks so peaceful. And to think that we could be enjoying beautiful places in this country if it weren’t for the constant turmoil we are in.
Wonderful photos, especially the last toward the water, which could have been a painting. But I love the choice of your Mickey et al at the throne of Trump as a poster for the Media Forum. It truly is one of the best editorial cartoons ever, with equal measures of apprehension, and laughter, on first sight.
Thanks, Ann, for your story, the photos, for your inspiring and creative work. Lucerne has always been one of our favorite places. We look forward to being there in September for a classical music festival. And once again, Congratulations!
Puts me to thinking about where I belong, would like to be. I'm fine where I am and have a long list of places I want nothing to do with. And that segues to thinking about death, and how there is more that I won't miss than I will miss. The won't miss list grows daily.
What an absolutely beautiful city! I am fascinated no end by the painting with Death peeking out. Memento mori!! (Remember death) A warning to us to pay attention to what happens after we die.
Perhaps a monthly trip to Luceren would keep you healthy enough to fearlessly face the villians you skewer for all the years ahead. We need more pictures too!
Exquisite photos and warm commentary!
The photos you took are proof that artistic talents spread across whatever media is available to the artist. 👏🏻
Thank you.
Sounds right to me. I was tempted to say that her photos are as clear and striking as her drawings. You said it betterl
💯 agree
Love all the pictures of your trip! You are my new best friend ❤️

What a beautiful trip in all respects. Again, KUDOS for your incredible work, Ann!
Wonderful combination of incredible photos and interesting musings!
Thanks for a glimpse of Lucerne through your artistic lens!
Glad you'll be back at work soon--although it appears you never really stop working!
Thanks you for the photos! I’m too old for long distance travel, but I enjoy seeing other countries.

“I’m grateful I managed to get through my presentations without making an ass of myself.”
There are two known impossibilities in the Universe:
1. Travelling faster than the speed of light
2. Ann Telnaes making an ass of herself.
😉😉
